Connection Options
1. HDMI & Co-ax outputs
Provides the HDMI connection to an HD display and SPDIF digital audio connection to an amplifier
2. Aux input
When connecting DVI equipped devices to the HDMI input port (via adapters), you can use the Aux input port to connect the device's audio signal
3. HDMI input
Connect your HDMI source device, such as a DVD player or set top box, to this port
4. RS-232 port
This port can be used for firmware updates
5. PC input
Allows you to connect the VGA and audio outputs from your PC
6. Component Video & Stereo Audio inputs
Allows you to connect the component video and stereo audio outputs from a suitably equipped device such as a DVD player or games console
7. Co-ax input
The Co-ax input port allows an SPDIF digital audio input signal to be combined with the video input signals from the Component Video, S-Video, PC, HDMI or Composite Video ports
8. Composite Video / S-Video & Stereo Audio inputs
Allows composite video or S-Video equipped devices to be connected; stereo audio outputs from the device can also be connected
9. Power input
The supplied AC adapter is connected here
Note on using DVI equipped devices with the HDMI Switch & Scaler
To connect devices equipped with DVI connections, you can use either modular DVI/HDMI adapters or DVI/HDMI adapter cables. Be aware that DVI is a 'video only' interface - audio signals are will be switched only when the correct audio cables are connected!
