Lindy Take a New Angle on HDMI Cables
We announced today a new range of HDMI cables that make it easy to connect sources and displays together
no matter how awkward the angle. The latest
LINDY 180 Degree Rotating High Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet
features an adjustable HDMI connector at either end capable of swivelling and rotating 180 degrees
in either direction.
An HDMI connector under strain from the angle of the connection can result in display issues. This is because the Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) that tells the screen or monitor what type of source it is and the resolution to be used is slightly recessed from the other pins inside the connector. Consequently it is often not fully connected, even when the HDMI connector looks to be in place.
Despite their smaller size HDMI cables are still just as bad as SCART leads for staying in place. With no thumb screws as standard they are prone to become loose when under any strain. In addition, a tight angle can damage HDMI ports over time. The adjustable connector on our latest HDMI cable helps to overcome these issues.
Perfect for tight or unusual angles the adjustable HDMI cable has 24K gold plated connector hoods and fully shielded cable that provides additional strain relief. HDMI ATC (Authorised Test Centre) certified for High Speed Category 2 compliance, the LINDY HDMI cable supports HDMI 1.4, HDCP HEC, ARC and CEC compliant devices and comes with a 10 year warranty.
