LINDY Launches Versatile USB 3.0 Docking Station for SATA Disks

We announced today the launch of our USB 3.0 Docking & Cloning Station that enables users to easily add external 2.5" and 3.5" SATA disks, as well as providing a convenient cloning station. Perfect for making data recovery or back-up disks, the station can also be shared between two USB 3.0 equipped computers when used in conjunction with LINDY’s USB 3.0 2 Port Switch.

The LINDY USB 3.0 Docking & Cloning Station is capable of taking two bare HDDs up to 2TB in size, transferring data with speeds up to 5Gbps. The stations dual bay design allows for both hard drives to be connected simultaneously and because both 2.5" and 3.5" SATA drives are supported natively the data can be copied between multiple drives of different types.

One of the problems users have when upgrading their hard disk is coping with transferring MBR or EISA partitions. Our new versatile docking station doesn’t just allow users to add external drives, its bit by bit cloning functionality makes even complex drive setups easy to copy.

The station provides full bitwise cloning including operating system and partitions, which can be carried out without connecting to a computer, enabling users to upgrade to larger capacity HDDs with ease. Compatible with Windows XP/Vista/7 and Linux 2.6.31 the LINDY USB 3.0 Docking & Cloning Station comes complete with its own power supply and connection cables.
