LINDY USB 3.0 Quad Enclosure Adds Storage Capacity with a Single Cable

We announced today our USB 3.0 & eSATA Quad Enclosure for 3.5" SATA Hard Drives that enables users to connect four SATA hard drives to a computer's USB 3.0 or eSATA port using a single cable. Perfect for users that frequently use large files and applications such as video editing, the Quad Enclosure’s advanced format supports up to 3TB of data on each disk.

Setting up the enclosure for use is easy. After removing the front, which is secured by magnets, simply attach the supplied frames onto each of Hard Disk Drives (HDD) and then slide them into the enclosure taking care that the connectors correctly fit into the SATA backplane connectors. The enclosure is then ready to be plugged into the computers USB 3.0 or eSATA port. Once connected the four HDDs are mapped on the computer as four single drives.

The 5Gbs fast transfer speeds of USB 3.0 means that external enclosures are ideal when you need to add extra storage space, particularly for large files.

The LINDY USB 3.0 & eSATA Quad Enclosure is a compact metal housing with integrated power supply and has an 8cm low noise fan for cooling. To use the eSATA connection, the eSATA controller on the computer’s motherboard must be at least eSATA II/ 300/ 3Gbps version with Port Multiplier feature.
