This compact USB 3.0 Notebook Docking Station allows you to connect workstation peripherals such as a hard drive or printer to your Notebook via USB 3.0, eliminating the need for multiple cables. HDMI or DVI connections allow you to use a monitor or HDMI enabled TV as a display. Additional audio ports also allow you to connect a microphone, set of speakers or headphones.
Please note: DisplayLink graphics do not support 3D hardware, OpenGL or MPEG Playback acceleration etc. Applications that require hardware acceleration my not function properly. In order to support video playback at least 2GHz Dual Core is recommended and a capable video playback software is required i.e. Windows Mediaplayer. Office applications without moving images are also supported on netbooks and older notebooks.
Installation notes
  • Install the driver from the CD before you connect the docking station to a computer.
  • Display resolutions detection and adjustment is a multi step process. After changing the monitor, the monitor properties are read again before the amended resolutions is offered for use.
  • DisplayLink driver automatically checks for updates

Excellent Dock for Windows 8.1

Works fine with Ultrabook running Windows 8.1 just download the latest Displaylink software from the Displaylink website and it will update the dock to the latest version. Running with dual Screens, ethernet, and several usb devices connected all are working fine.

Works well with Windows 7 - bear in mind CPU load though

Works well - but bear in mind that by driving monitors via a USB3 connection you are moving work that was previously done by the GPU (graphics chip or integrated graphics on the processor) back to the general CPU. Mine is plugged into a Windows 7 i5 laptop via USB3 and is driving a 1600x1200 monitor (HDMI connection via adaptor to DVI) and a 1440x900 monitor (DVI connection via adaptor to VGA). I have disabled the laptop's native display (though could use this as a third monitor) so am running a dual monitor setup entirely over USB3. All this works well, along with wired ethernet stereo loudspeakers, keyboard and mouse (via USB2). Also plugged in but only used occasionally via USB are an external HD, DVD writer and printer. So a great product, which allows me to use my laptop as a full multi-monitor desktop system, but when I do want to use the laptop in a mobile role, I have only one USB cable (and 1 power cable) to unplug. But you're laptop's CPU will have to work harder (and hotter & so more noisily) to achieve this.

Returns Information

We're confident that you'll be totally happy with any goods purchased from LINDY. However, if you have changed your mind about an item, and you are a private consumer (i.e. not a business customer), then you can return it to us for a full refund provided that:

  • You notify us within 30 calendar days from the day after you've received the goods
  • The item(s) are returned within 14 days of cancellation. The 14 days start the day after you have notified us of the cancellation
  • The item(s) are returned undamaged and unused, with its original packaging and complete with all manuals, components and software seals (if applicable) intact

In accordance with The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 we would like to make you aware of the following important information:

  • We will refund within 14 days of receipt of goods (i.e. when we receive the returned items) or of evidence that the item(s) have been returned to us
  • We will refund all monies received, including outbound delivery cost, however if you chose a more expensive means than the cheapest, default standard delivery option offered we will only refund the default standard delivery option you could have chosen
  • We will not refund the cost of the return delivery to us
  • We have the right to deduct monies from refunds where goods show signs of unreasonable use leading to diminished value. We will not deduct for removal of packaging to inspect the item, but we may deduct for wear and tear where the item has not been checked but used. The charge for this is €6.00 or 15% of the product cost (whichever is greater)

Damaged in transit
If you receive goods which have been damaged in transit, please:

  • Sign the delivery note stating the goods have arrived damaged
  • Report it to us within 24 hours of receipt

Faulty or incomplete on arrival
You can return goods that have arrived faulty or incomplete for a full refund or replacement, provided that:

  • For faulty items you notify us within 7 working days from the day after you've received the goods
  • If the goods are incomplete or there is a shortfall you notify us within 3 days of receiving the goods
  • The item you return is complete with all supplied manuals, components and software

If, after testing by our Technical Dept., the product is proven to be faulty we will refund your reasonable return carriage costs.

Faulty within warranty
If a product develops a fault within its warranty period you are entitled to a repair, refund or replacement at our discretion.

Goods returned as faulty where no fault is found will be returned to the customer.
